1. The Seal Beach Yacht Club Bar will be operated
in accordance with the laws of the State of California.
Specifically those laws contained in the Alcohol
Beverage Control (ABC) Act and the Taxation and
Revenue Code that are relative to the operation
of a licensed premises.

Bar hours of operation. The hours of operation shall
be established by the Board of Directors and shall
be posted in the Club. Under all circumstances,
the bar will close no later than 1:30 a.m.

Alcoholic beverages will not be served to minors
and minors will not be allowed under any circumstances
to consume alcoholic beverages on the Club premises.

Bar Credit: Any
member in good standing is eligible to open a charge
account in his or her name at the Club Bar or the
Ship's Store subject to the conditions that follow:
Only
the amount of the sale shall be put on the charge
account. No tips may be added to the account.
All accounts with balances less than $5.00 will
be billed the minimum monthly charge of $5.00.
Effective January 1, 2003, all amounts owed the
Club will be considered past due on the 25th day
of the month they are received, e.g., October
bar bills are due on receipt of the invoice and
past due effective November 25th.
Members wishing to utilize the Club charge option
for bar, food, ship store or other non-dues services
will be required to have a Visa or MasterCard
credit card back-up on file in the office. Amounts
due to the Club for bar, food, ship store and
other non-dues expense will be charged to the
credit card on the 1st day of the month following
receipt of the invoice. For example, October bar
bills that became past due on November 25th will
be charged to the credit card December 1st.
Any member whose credit card charge is declined
or who is otherwise delinquent in his or her bar
charge, Ship's Store charge, or dues account will
be suspended from making further charges at the
Club Bar or Ship's Store. Members must sign all
charge sale tabs. Only the amount of the sale
shall be put on the charge sale tab.
5.
If a member elects to charge drinks at the bar they
will be subject to a minimum monthly billing charge
as prescribed by the Board of Directors. The minimum
charge is currently set at $5.00. it is the member's
responsibility to determine when they have met the
minimum charge amount. There will be a $10.00 charge
on all returned checks.
6.
The bar will cash personal checks for members only.
The bar will cash checks up to a maximum of $25.00
and only when the "bank" has enough money
in it, in the opinion of the bartender.
7.
The Club Bar will not supply or provide any alcoholic
beverages to any person or entity of the Club for
consumption off the premises of the Club.
8.
The Club Bar will not supply or provide alcoholic
beverages to any person or entity of the Club to
be dispensed, sold, or given away at the Club.
9.
All alcoholic beverages sold at the Club on a "per
drink basis" will be purchased in accordance
with the ABC Act and dispensed only at the bar with
all the proceeds recorded in the cash register by
the bartender.
10.
Entities of the Club that are allowed to remove
beer, wine, and soft drinks from the refrigerator
or bar, at their regularly scheduled meetings, will
be charged full retail price for those items taken.
11.
No member or entity of the Club will provide their
own alcoholic beverages for consumption at the Club
during bar operating hours, except for wine and
champagne, which are subject to a corkage fee.
12.
The first floor Ice Machine is for the exclusive
use of the Club's bar and food services, and ice
will not be removed from the first floor ice machine
by anyone, except for such use, without the approval
of the Board of Directors. The second floor Ice
Machine is for use my all Members, subject to access
and availability, and further, subject to reasonable
use.
13.
In the absence of the assigned or substitute Officer
of the Day, any regular member may assume the duties
of the OD. In the event that no Officer, Director,
or regular member of the Club will accept duty as
OD, the Club Bar shall immediately be closed and
the bartender(s) shall be paid for a full shift.
